Connecting to your care team

BoneArc only helps if it’s linked to your surgeon or physical therapist. There are two easy ways to connect — and either way, nothing is shared until you say yes.

To share your recovery with your provider, your account needs to be connected to them. Most people connect with a referral code when they sign up. If that didn’t happen, your provider can send you a connection request instead. Here’s both.

EITHER WAY

You’re always in control. A code only connects you to the provider who gave it to you, and a request has to be approved by you before anyone can see your information. Nothing is shared behind your back.

Option 1 — enter a referral code
1

When you register, find the Referral Code box and type in the code your provider gave you. The app says it plainly: “if your surgeon gave you a code, enter it here to connect automatically.”

2

Finish registering. If your code was sent to your email, you’ll see a friendly note that you’ll be connected automatically once you verify your email — so just verify your email and you’re linked.

3

Already have an account and got a code later? You can still connect — ask your provider to send you a fresh code or a connection request (below).

Option 2 — approve a connection request

If your provider looks you up in their system, you’ll see a purple Connection request banner on your home screen. It reads something like:

On your home screen

[Your provider] would like to connect to your BoneArc care team.

Just below it: “They won’t see your data until you approve.” That’s exactly how it works — approving is what turns sharing on.

4

Read the name on the banner. If it’s the surgeon, therapist, or clinic you expect, tap Approve. You’re now connected.

5

If you don’t recognize the name, tap Decline. Nothing is shared, and you can reach out to your provider to sort it out.

How to tell it worked

You’re connected

Once you’re linked, a My Care Team option appears on your home screen, where you can see who’s guiding your recovery. The connection banner disappears once you’ve responded.

A code didn’t work?

Codes can expire or be used up. If the app says a code isn’t active anymore, your account is still fine — just ask your provider for a new code, and you’ll be connected.

Connecting is a one-time step, and it puts you in charge of who sees your recovery. Once you’re linked, your daily check-ins and exercises flow to your care team automatically — and only to them.
