Open any saved template from your library and reshape it — the name, the exercises, the phases, the milestones and PROMs — then save it back with one click.
Every template you’ve created lives in your library, and none of them are locked. Open one and you can rename it, rewrite the exercises, add or drop a therapy phase, drag phases into a new order, and adjust milestones and outcome questions — all in the same template editor.
You’re editing your own saved copy — the one under My Custom Templates. Nothing changes until you click Save, so you can open a template, look around, and back out without touching it.
In the left menu, open Templates.
Scroll to My Custom Templates and find the one you want to change. Each card shows its counts — pre-op items, phases, milestones and PROMs.
Click Edit on that card. The template opens in the full editor.
The editor is split into four tabs across the top: Details, Therapy, Milestones and PROMs. Start on Details.
Change the Template Name — this is what you and your patients see when it’s assigned.
Edit the Description, the Conservative Treatment / Pre-Op list, the Intra-Operative Details, and the Recommended Exercises. Each list uses Add to add a new line and Remove to delete one.
On the Therapy tab, use Add Phase to add a rehab phase, set its week range, and list its exercises. Remove deletes a phase.
To reorder phases, grab a phase card by its grip handle and drag it up or down onto another phase. The timeline reflows to the new order — no save dialog, it just moves.
On the Milestones tab, use Add Milestone to add one, or Reset to defaults to restore the standard set. On the PROMs tab, use Add Question, or Reset an interval back to its validated defaults.
Click Save in the top-right of the editor. Your changes are written back to your library, and the status reads Saved.
Use Back to return to the library. Your edited template is ready to assign again.
When you assign a template, BoneArc links each patient to it and saves your current edits first — the assignment flow persists the editor’s latest content so that, in its own words, patients see the latest content. Their app reads the recovery content through that link.
Because that link points at your saved template rather than a frozen copy, editing a template and saving it updates the recovery content — exercises, phases, milestones — for patients who are currently assigned to it.
What editing a template does not touch is the patient’s own record — their surgery or diagnosis date and the RTM enrollment those anchor. Those are set when the patient is added, not by a template edit.
Just Save. Patients already linked to this template pick up the updated content the next time their app reads it.
Use Assign to Patients in the editor. The Assign Template panel pre-checks anyone already on this template and lets you add others.
Edit once, and everyone on that template moves together. Because nothing is written until you press Save, you stay in full control of exactly what your patients receive.
