Reviewing a patient’s recovery

Open any patient to see the full picture between visits — daily logs, recovery milestones, and validated PROM scores, all on one page.

Every patient on BoneArc logs how their recovery is going, day by day. When you open their record you see it all in one place — the daily logs they submit, the milestones they’re reaching, and their PROM scores from validated outcome measures. That’s the core of Remote Therapeutic Monitoring: real visibility without a clinic visit for every check-in.

FIRST

Open Patients from the left menu and click the patient you want to review. Their record opens with a header summary and a row of tabs — everything below is one click away.

Start with the header

The top of the record gives you the snapshot: the patient’s name, a Post-Op or Non-Op badge, and their current recovery stage. Below that, key facts — Surgery and Surgery Date (or Diagnosis and Diagnosis Date for non-operative patients), Days Post-Op, PROMs, Milestones, and RTM Start. The Recovery Progress bar shows an overall percent, with a LIVE tag when it’s computed from the patient’s real logged entries (or TIME-BASED when there’s no data yet), plus how much it’s moved since start.

Read the daily logs

The Overview tab opens on the daily-log picture. Four cards summarize it at a glance:

1

Latest Pain — the patient’s most recent pain score on a 0–10 scale, shown against their baseline.

2

Flexibility — their latest flexibility rating on a 0–10 scale.

3

Adherence — the share of the last 14 days on which they completed their exercises.

4

Days Silent — how long it’s been since their last log, with the date of that entry.

What the logs are telling you

Under the four cards, the Pain & flexion chart plots those daily entries over time so a trend is obvious — pain trending down and flexion trending up is exactly what you want to see. The card notes how many days of logs it’s drawn from.

Next to it, the Recovery snapshot shows how many milestones are complete and which one the patient is working toward now. A rising Adherence number with a low Days Silent is your signal that a patient is engaged; a patient going quiet is the one to reach out to.

Check milestones and progress

The Milestones tab (called Progression for non-operative patients) lays out the recovery timeline. You see a Completed and Remaining count, an Overall progress percent, and each milestone in order — its title, the Week it’s expected, the progress threshold that unlocks it, and a NEXT tag on the one just ahead. It’s the fastest way to see whether a patient is on, ahead of, or behind their expected recovery curve.

Review PROM scores

The PROMs tab holds the patient’s Patient-Reported Outcome Measures — validated instruments matched to their case, such as KOOS Jr. and HOOS Jr. for knees and hips, IKDC Subjective, ASES, FAAM, Quick DASH, or LEFS depending on the joint. Each submission is tagged with its interval (Enrollment, 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, and so on) and completion date, and lists every question with the patient’s response. Composite scores run 0–100, where 100 is best possible function — comparing the earliest to the latest tells you which way outcomes are moving.

Post-operative patients

Track the Recovery Progress bar and the Milestones timeline against days post-op to confirm they’re healing on schedule.

Non-operative patients

Watch the Progression tab and the PROM trend for their instrument — it shows whether conservative management is working or the condition is worsening.

Everything on this page is the patient’s own data, updated as they log. It informs your review — every clinical decision stays with you. For panel-wide outcomes across all your patients, open PROMs from the left menu, where the same scores roll up into trajectory and completion analytics you can export.
