Your Analytics tab reads your whole panel — surgery mix, diagnosis mix, and PROM trends — while the Implants tab groups your cases by device and shows how the evidence matures.
BoneArc turns your patients’ daily logs and PROM submissions into two reading views. Under INSIGHTS in the left menu you’ll find Analytics — the panel-level picture — and Implants, which groups your joint-replacement cases by the device that was placed. This guide covers what each one shows and how to read it.
These pages fill in as your patients use BoneArc. A brand-new panel shows mostly empty states and a note that trend analysis unlocks as more patients log data — that’s expected, not a problem. Nothing here needs setup; just open the tab.
Open Analytics under INSIGHTS. The page is titled Recovery outcomes, PROM scores, and published benchmarks and opens on the Overview tab. Across the top sit four at-a-glance stats: Active panel, On track, Needs attention, and Engaged this week.
Overview is the panel summary. It shows your flagged patients (“Today’s triage”), where your panel sits by recovery phase, and the composition breakdowns described below.
Switch tabs along the top: Patient Detail (one patient’s logs and PROM trajectory), Anomalies (every flagged patient), PROM Benchmarks (scores vs. published population norms), and PROM Scores (all scored submissions).
Use the Search patients box in the header to jump straight to one patient’s detail view.
Your surgical patients grouped by procedure type, with a count and share for each.
Your non-op patients grouped by diagnosis — e.g. Knee OA, Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy, Plantar Fasciitis.
Alongside these, Overview also shows Recovery phases (how far along your panel is, from Early to Advanced), PROM activity (average scored submission, coverage, and intervals), and a live Recent patient activity feed of the latest check-ins.
PROMs are validated patient-reported outcome measures scored 0–100, where 100 = best possible function. On the PROM Benchmarks tab, each submission is compared to a published population norm for that instrument and interval, and labeled Above Norm, At Norm, Below Norm, or Well Below Norm. Open a single patient under Patient Detail to see their PROM Score Trajectory vs. Published Norms plotted over their recovery intervals.
Open Implants under INSIGHTS. For your joint-replacement (arthroplasty) patients, BoneArc groups outcomes by the implant system that was placed — knee, hip, and shoulder replacements. The header reads Device-Level Outcomes, with tiles for implant systems tracked, cases captured, and complete 1-year arcs.
A complete 1-year arc is one patient with both a pre-operative baseline and a 12-month PROM — that pair yields one measurable change. Systems accrue arcs as your patients finish their recovery year.
This is a maturity trajectory, not a pass/fail gate. It shows your own cases only.
Each implant system carries a readiness state, shown as a chip next to its name:
Under 25 complete 1-year arcs. The system’s outcomes are still accruing. A provisional mean change appears once there are 25+ arcs.
At 100+ complete arcs, the system reports a mean change with a 95% confidence interval.
A single provider’s panel almost always reads “preliminary,” and that is by design — it reflects evidence still building, not missing data. The Implants page frames this as progress: a “Leading system” bar shows how many arcs of 100 your top system has reached.
One thing this does not do yet: comparing your device outcomes against other surgeons’ (cross-provider or peer benchmarking) is not available yet. Everything on the Implants tab is your own panel. To help systems climb the ladder, record the implant on each arthroplasty patient’s chart (Patients › open the patient › the Record implant card).
