Editing your profile

Update the name and bio your patients see, check your specialty, and set your billing details — here’s where each one lives.

Your BoneArc profile is split into two places: the patient-facing details you edit yourself — your name and bio — and a few locked or billing fields that live elsewhere. This guide shows exactly what you can change, and where.

FIRST

The name and bio you set here sync to the iOS app — they appear on your patients’ Meet Your Provider screen. If your profile has no name, patients see a blank when you connect, so this is worth two minutes.

Open Edit Profile
1

In the left sidebar, find your profile card — your avatar and name near the top.

2

Click the card (or the Edit profile pencil on it). The Edit Profile panel opens with a live preview of how your card looks to patients.

Update your name and bio
1

Edit the Full Name field — for example, Dr. Jane Smith, or Jane Smith, PT. A name is required to save.

2

Write or update your Bio — up to 500 characters. Use Expand for a larger editing window if you’re writing more.

3

Click Save Profile. Your name and bio sync to the patient app’s Meet Your Provider screen.

What you can’t change here
Specialty is display-only

Your Specialty shows on the Edit Profile panel, but it isn’t an editable field — it reads your current specialty or “Not set.” To change it, use the Email support to change link on that row, which opens a message to support.

This keeps your specialty consistent with the recovery protocols and outcome measures tied to it, so it’s changed deliberately rather than by accident.

Billing role & provider details

Your billing attributes aren’t part of Edit Profile — they live on the Settings page, under Billing role & supervision.

1

Open Settings from the left menu.

2

Choose your Billing role. If your role is NP, PA, or MA, enter a Supervising physician NPI — a 10-digit NPI that BoneArc verifies against the NPPES registry on save.

3

Set your Place of service (RTM) if a payer requires it — the default is Office (11).

4

Click Save billing role & verify NPI.

Where each field lives

Edit Profile panel

Full Name and Bio — the details patients see. Specialty is shown but changed via support.

Settings page

Billing role, Supervising physician NPI, and Place of service — plus your daily digest email preference.

Set your name and bio once and your patients recognize you the moment you connect. Everything billing-related is a click away on Settings — and your specialty stays fixed until you ask support to change it.
