Uploading a protocol and assigning it

Turn a PDF or photo of any rehab protocol into a reusable template with Build from Document — then attach it to a patient, and activate RTM, in the same flow.

Already have a rehab protocol or home exercise program written up? You don’t have to rebuild it by hand. Upload the file and Build from Document reads it, structures it into a BoneArc template, and lets you assign it to a patient — all in one pass.

FIRST

All you need is the protocol as a file — a PDF, or even a clear photo of a printed handout. BoneArc builds the template for you; you review and edit everything before it saves. Nothing is final until you confirm.

Upload it
1

In the left menu, open Templates.

2

Click Build from Document.

3

Add your file — a PDF or photo of the protocol (PDF, JPEG, PNG, or HEIC) — then click Analyze Document.

4

BoneArc reads it and builds a structured template. Review and edit the exercises, phases, and timeline so it reads exactly the way you want. If it’s a home exercise program, mark it non-operative (HEP).

5

Click Save. It’s now in your template library, ready to use again and again.

Assign it — in the same motion
Skip the extra clicks

The moment you save, BoneArc asks “Assign it to a patient now?” Search your panel, tap the patient, and the template is attached — no need to navigate away and start over.

For a home exercise program, assigning also offers to Activate RTM care plan in one tap. That starts the patient’s remote monitoring right away — billing only begins once their consent is on file.

Prefer to assign later? Keep it in the library and attach it from any patient’s page with Assign Template whenever you’re ready.

Which option to pick

A post-operative protocol

Leave the non-operative option unmarked. Assign it to a surgical patient and the timeline follows their surgery date automatically.

A home exercise program (non-op)

Mark it non-operative (HEP). When you assign it, BoneArc offers to activate the RTM care plan on the spot.

One document becomes a reusable template — build it once, assign it to every patient who needs it. Because you review before saving, you stay in full control of exactly what each patient receives.
