When a patient already has a BoneArc account but a referral code never connected them to you, Link Existing Patient sends a connection request they approve in the app — and they land in your panel.
Sometimes a patient signs up for BoneArc on their own, or a referral code just didn’t take — and they never got connected to your panel. You don’t need to issue a new code or ask them to re-register. Use Link Existing Patient to send them a connection request, which they approve from inside the app.
All you need is the patient’s registered email — the exact address they used to sign up. You never see any of their recovery data until they approve the request, so linking is always the patient’s choice.
In the left menu, open Referral Codes.
Click Link Existing Patient.
Type the patient’s registered email — it must be the exact address they signed up with, or BoneArc won’t find their account.
Click Link to My Panel.
You’ll see “Link request sent — pending patient approval.” The patient shows up in your panel only after they approve — you won’t see their data until then.
They get an email, and the next time they open the BoneArc app a Connection request banner appears: “[Your name] would like to connect to your BoneArc care team.” It reassures them: “They won’t see your data until you approve.”
The patient taps Approve (or Decline). The moment they approve, they join your panel and their recovery tracking flows to you — no code, no re-registration.
If the patient is already connected to you, BoneArc tells you right away with “Already in Your Panel” instead of sending a duplicate request.
Generate a referral code for them to register with. Once they sign up with the code, they join your panel automatically — no approval step needed.
Use Link Existing Patient. They already have an account, so a code would only create confusion — a connection request is the right path.
Linking keeps the patient in control: nothing is shared until they approve the request in the app. If they don’t see it, ask them to open BoneArc — the Connection request banner waits for them on the home screen.
